Genealogy Pages

The pictures on these pages span at least 100 years. Most of the oldest pictures came to me through Frances Ridley and to her from her mother and aunts and uncles. I've put names with people and places when I know them and some of those may not be right. Because these photos go so far back, over four or five generations, identifying all of them would be almost impossible.

Some of of the pictures are duplicates as they appeared in multiple albums. A lot of them may be reprints of older negatives. In some of the albums you can find pictures of the same person or people at different ages. You may find a page with Fran at 6 months, 5 and 17 years old. The locations are also a problem, the Edlridge family moved freely between parts of Nova Scotia, Massachusetts and  New Hampshire and pictures were taken in all those places.

The Beverly pictures are easy for me to identify and some of the NH ones I can figure out, but the only reference I have for the Nova Scotia pictures are snapshots from the 60s that tell locations. I'm trying to match up some of those to the older pictures but nature changes faster then you think in 60 years.

Right now I'm just scanning in pictures and albums then posting them. As you'll see it took a few albums to get the format down and I also realized that most of these were black and white pictures so I started scanning them that way. I'll go back and ID them as I can.
